OBAMA - Do Not Repeat the FDR Legacy!

Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Revolution began with his inaugural address, which left no doubt about his intentions to seize the moment and harness it to his own purposes. Best remembered for its patently false line that "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself,"  its Revolutionary charter also called for  more extraordinary emergency governmental powers which turned out to be even more fear  piled up on top of fear itself!

SAY NO TO PRICE CONTROLS!

The view that FDR saved us from the Depression is indefensible; Roosevelt's policies prolonged and deepened it. There's no doubt that Roosevelt changed the character of the American government--for the worse. Many of the reforms of the 1930s remain embedded in policy today: acreage allotments, price supports and marketing controls in agriculture, extensive regulation of private securities, federal intrusion into union-management relations, government lending and insurance activities, the minimum wage, national unemployment insurance, Social Security and welfare payments, production and sale of electrical power by the federal government, fiat money--the list goes on.

The National Industrial Recovery Act (NIRA) of June 1933 was one of the famed “first 100 Days” laws enacted in FDR’s first term to deal with the Great Depression.  It was enacted to promote economic recovery by ending wage and price deflation and restoring competition.  Among other things, the act authorized the President to regulate industry and permit cartels and monopolies in an attempt to stimulate economic recovery.  It ended in more United States economic disaster, overturned by the Supreme Court and dropped by FDR going into his second term. Obama, did you study U.S. History?

Tell your Senators - NO PRICE & WAGE CONTROLS!

One World Currency & Martial Law - PRICE CONTROLS

This week Treasury Secretary, Timmy Geithner, is setting up the American people to expect some big hits to the economy this Fall in order to stem huge Democrat losses at the polls in November 2010.

Look out for new U.S.Treasury World Bank IMF backed currency notes released into general circulation. Say what?

Remember when Obama said he wanted a national security force? Not the national guard, but a civilian one that has not sworn to uphold the Constitution?

On July 2, 2008 in a speech in Colorado Springs, Obama called for starting a Police State........Obama got his Private Army in the Obama Health Care Bill!

The purpose of the Ready Reserve Corps is to fulfill the need to have additional Commissioned Corps personnel available on short notice (similar to the Uniformed Services Reserve program aka National Guard) to assist regular Commissioned Corps personnel to meet both routine public health and emergency response missions.

Since when have the citizens of the United States ever needed this kind of Army under the President's power? Because Obama is expecting large public demonstrations and outrage like in Europe happening right here as soon as our economy tanks more....

This video is 9 1/2 min. in length. WATCH the first 3 min. ONLY and educate yourself. Why be a mushroom? (That is someone that is kept in the dark and fed a lot of poop) Glenn Beck is over a year ahead of this economic curve - 10/2008 Video.

Here is the background on the Weimar Republic when hyper-inflated money was pushed around in wheelbarrows to pay for a loaf of bread and the lead-in to Hitler rising to power within tremendous chaotic civil unrest. Hmmn....

VAT Taxes seen thru The Overton Window

Barrack is the Master Manipulator of The Overton Window, a political theory that describes a "window" in the range of public reactions to ideas in public discourse, in a spectrum of all possible options on a particular issue. The theory says the window will gradually move over time based on a variety of factors, including truth, facts, arguments, big events and misinformation, to name a few. It is named after its originator, Joseph P. Overton, a brilliant public policy strategist and ardent free-marketer.

At any given moment the “window” includes a range of policies considered to be politically acceptable in the current climate of public opinion, with “acceptable” defined as something a politician can recommend without being considered too “extreme” or outside the mainstream to gain or keep public office. Sounds like the ones introduced in the Obama progressive policies and programs?

When the window moves or expands, it means that ideas previously not considered politically acceptable have become so, and possibly that ideas previously considered acceptable are no longer. The Overton Window is a means of visualizing which ideas define that range of acceptance by where they fall in it. Proponents of policies outside the window seek to persuade or educate the public so that the window either “moves” or expands to encompass them. Sounds like the selling of the Obama policies and programs?

Like the old shell game, Obama palms the pea before he moves the  shells around. Obama shifted the Overton Window to focus in on those extra 30 Million people he covered under the expanded health care coverage and his promise to stay under the $1 Trillion  Dollar price tag. Obama just forgot to include the extra $1.1 Billion bill to pay for more I.R.S. Agents to administer it. Obama needs the VAT tax  to pass it in the lame duck congressional session at Christmas time with those Democrat politicians voted out of office who Obama threw under the bus to pass his stimulus and health care packages for his socialist collective salvation of the United States.

Take a look at the effective Income Taxes on the table below. How about a U.S. Tax of  70%?  (55% + 15%)  Is that redistribution?  Also proposed, an additional 1 1/2% Annual Net Worth Tax on high earners.

Sound Economic Principles Lost on Obama

Milton Friedman wrote all my college Economic text books. I found him a true entrepreneurial spirit when it came to simplifying for me the subject of micro-economic principles. I have used them as my measure for evaluating various ideas over the years.

He died in November, 2006 at 94 years old. Below is a brief synopsis of what he championed in an obscure science, not at all understood by the liberal psyche because they never took business classes, only liberal arts and political science classes based upon feel-good solutions like sitting around the campfire singing, "Lord, kumbayah!" (Community Organizers did a lot of that)

Milton Friedman, Nobel Prize recipient, was the father of monetarism and the prophet of laissez-faire economics. It was his debunking of the economics of John Maynard Keynes which was a major factor in leading to the free market revolutions in Britain and the United States. He inspired Reagan and Thatcher. By his contribution to consumption theory, to the demand for money and to economics methodology, and to decision-making under uncertainty, he moved the economic consensus decisively to the right. For some commentators, it has not been fanciful to trace the collapse of Communism back to Friedman's teachings.

Below is a very brief 2 1/2 minute interview on the very liberal Phil Donahue Show in 1979. Ask yourself if he is speaking to us today, 31 years later? Hmmnn.................Is Obama listening too? LOL!
